The Strange Ways web site has been built using the W3C Web Content Accessibilty AAA Guidelines , where ever possible. The site has also been built using valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS 2.1.
This site has a number of features to aid use by those who have difficulty in using a web site in the most common method, with a mouse, or have to rely on assistive technologies to browse the internet.
Every page on the site has a designated tab order for navigation and external links, allowing the links to be accessed and activated using the Tab key and move from link to link and the return key to activate the chosen link.
In addition to this the navigation links can also be activated by specific keys on the key board, these ‘access keys’ are shown below:
Home: Alt + q
Artists: Alt + w
Exhibitions: Alt + y
Contact: Alt + u
The side navigation link access keys are numbered in the following way:
Side menu item 1: Alt+1
Side menu item 2: Alt+2
Side menu item 3: Alt+3
and so on.
For more informationon how to useaccess keys please refer to your browser help files.
All efforts have been taken to ensure that assistive technology users can navigate and read the contents of this web site. Links to enable screen readers to skip past the site naigation and access the contents of the pages have been provided. These links are not shown unless the link is activated by tabbing to it and will disapear when the focus moves from them, these links are always the first link on any page.
If you have any issues concerning assistive technologies and this site please contact Chris Poole.
