Strange Ways

Strange Ways is a group of artists from across the West Midlands who met on the Creative Alliance After Hours programme. Collectively they have experience in sculpture, 3D, multi-media, installation, photography, video, animation, and participatory arts. From diverse cultures, ages and backgrounds they have a fundamental connection in a common philosophy and a desire to work in unconventional spaces, engaging untypical audiences and participants. Their shared objective is to create art that can be disseminated to the wider community in an environment accessible to all.

“We are interested in engaging and attracting new audiences who may not encounter art on a daily basis for cultural, social or geographic reasons. We are linked by a common philosophy rather than common types of artwork. This gives us a coherent identity but ensures our work is diverse and interesting.”
